50 foot wide beach coming to Moonlight Beach

In a federal sand replenishment project, the Army Corp of Engineers is now pumping sand into North County Beaches Solana and Moonlight Beach, and building 50 foot wide beaches at each location. Moonlight Beach should be finished in early may.   The plan was outlined at the Encinitas City Council meeting on January 17.  The presentation is in the first 10 minutes of the meeting.   Here is the link to the meeting.
